I’ve been asked if it is safe to plant outside now, and in general, the odds are now heavily in your favor!
You have only a 50% chance of a frost after 11 April and by today the odds are down to only~ 20%. By May one you are very likely safe.
Here are the last frost date averages for Maryland/Delaware cities.
In Delaware, at Newark you only have a 20% chance of a frost after April 25 and that means the entire state is now likely safe to plant! The long-range forecast is quite warm so I would forecast less than a 5% chance of a freeze. Those in the Baltimore and Philly/DC areas are also now safe for tender plants.
