While the weekend will be windy and cool, there is little doubt that a much wetter and milder weather pattern is on the way for the middle of next week. A powerful storm system will bring some wintery weather to the Rockies and the Plains, but as it approaches the Eastern Seaboard, it will bring in gusty south winds, mild air and a good soaking of rain. Well over an inch of rain is likely on Delmarva beginning early Tuesday, and ending on early Thursday.
It looks like we will see two rounds of rain. The first will be with a warm front Tuesday, which will usher in highs in the mid 60’s by afternoon. Then another round of rain, well ahead of a very slow-moving cold front Wednesday. Skies should clear slowly by Thursday night and Friday. It will be a rather blustery week with gusty winds ahead of and behind this storm system.
