Wallops Launch to Light Up The Delmarva Sky in Color Early Thursday

The Wallops Flight Facility (WFF) plans a pre-dawn launch of a Terrier-Improved Malemute sounding rocket on June 1 between 4:27 a.m. and 4:42 a.m. EDT. The test will create blue-green and red luminescent clouds that may be visible from New York to North Carolina. Note that this mission requires clear skies so postponement is always a possibility.
