The Storm Prediction Center has northern and western Delmarva and the I-95 corridor under a SLIGHT risk for severe weather.

The Storm Prediction Center in Oklahoma has the northern and western most part of Delmarva under a SLIGHT risk for severe weather this afternoon and evening.

The biggest threat will be damaging winds, some small hail, torrential downpours, and frequent lightning. With the amount of moisture in the air this morning, it will not take much to ring out an inch of rain quickly out of the sky.

Timing of the storms right now looks to be centered between 4pm and 2am. Most of the models are keeping the storms across northern Delmarva this afternoon and evening, but everyone runs the risk of seeing some storms later this afternoon.

Don’t change outdoor plans yet…most of the morning and early afternoon should be fine. Keep an eye to the sky and have a plan ready if Mother Nature decides to throw the curveball this afternoon.
